Charles Dundas has been selected as the Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Livingston in the General Election

Charles grew up in Fauldhouse and went to Falla Hill Primary and then Whitburn Academy. He graduated in History from the University of Glasgow, and has since worked in accountancy, policy research, and campaigning. He is the Chief Executive of a Scottish environmental charity.

Between 2007 and 2012 Charles was elected to the City of Edinburgh Council, where he chaired the Administration Group and sat on the Lothian and Borders Police Board.

Charles first stood for election aged 21 as a Council candidate in Armadale in 1999 and has been the Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Livingston at every General Election since 2005, including the by-election in 2006 after the sudden death of Robin Cook.
