Funding Application for Winchburgh Train Station
West Lothian Council and its partners have taken a big step in the development of a new railway station in Winchburgh, by submitting a funding request to the Scottish Government.
The request follows on from the grant of planning permission for the station in October.
Commenting on the funding bid, Lib Dem Councillor Sally Pattle said:
"It's absolutely fantastic news! It's long overdue and I'm terrifically grateful for all the work done by council officers and other organisations in keeping the plan alive. It will bring real change to resident's lives in West Lothian and alleviate congestion and parking issues in communities such as my own in Linlithgow."
